1: Have we gone through life in vain?, That sober heart has weighed us down,
Have we journeyed through situations in tears?,
That we find it hard to say it to the lord,
Seek him for he is a friend so faithful,
Reach for his precious arms,
Always ready to embrace and care for us,
Hold him as he dwells with us,
Our solace in our pains.
2: Have you lost hope in your supplications?,
He has made you heir of his kingdom,
Have you found your heart immersed in fears and failures,
Remember it was finished at the cross,
His heart,our loving home,
Abide therein where his help blossoms,
Omnipotent one that never weary,
Guards you from heaven above,
Grief and shed no more,
Guilt and shame are gone,
Calvary crucifies them all.
3: Have I not told you of his mercy and grace?,
That kept me strong through trials and loss,
Have I not strayed in anguish for so long,
That my heart wallow in joy,
His word is still true from centuries past,
Oh what a relief!sweet relief,
A stray sheep saved by the good shepherd,
In your presence I kneel,
Only you make me whole again.
4: Have you seen the Wall of Jericho?,
It fell at your feet and never rose again,
Have you gotten to the Red Sea?,
It drowned every of your plagues,
Conquerors in battle,
Triumphant warriors in praises,
Slavery has been put to shame,
Powerful savior,lord over earth,
Forever am saved from peril,
Billow forth in his kingdom,
His victorious kingdom for me.
