ZION BEYOND

Once more we are rough handled,

Misery has got its upper hand,

As we celebrate freedom of years past,

Death yet had its bondage on my people,

We feel fire and brimstones within,

Evil has come knocking again,

Our soul wails out loud,

Echoes of gone beloved,

This sorrow we share,

The air can no longer hold its craft,

Our skies has lost its grip,

Diseases quenching like water,

Accidents roaming our pathway,

This anguish will not linger for long,

As our despair gradually creeps away,

For we kneel before our great comforter,

Cast away the grief that betides us,

Unleash divine protection is all we pray,

Shield us in your arms,

For we are breathless without you,

Please be the refuge we seek,

The heaven we live here on earth,

Release our joy from sudden sorrow,

Let the journeymen rest in heaven,

Somewhere above this world,

Where we will meet to part no more,

Fly freely,

Fly away home to Zion.
