THEY ARE THE NEW PROPHETS NOT THE EVERGREEN SUPERNATURAL!

Wolf in sheep's clothing,

They beckon at us,

Smiles on their faces with evil hidden behind them,

They say 'They are the new prophets',

Asking for our sorrows and pains,

Telling us we are destined to strive for their needs,

Ordering we bring food to their tables and water to quench their thirst,

They claim to be God's anointed,

Asking us to sit on their laps,

Encouraging iniquity under the sheets,

Assuring they will teach us a level of grace we don't understand,

I then wonder if a man can continue in sin and expect grace to abound,

They share their selfish thoughts,

Saying we are to fear them for they can evade evil for us,

Preaching we need their blessings to survive,

They share their gold-plated dreams,

Insisting we must learn from the future which they hope to achieve,

Justifying their biased doctrine of faith which they claim is now modern,

They sit with folded arms and prophecy from distance,

I ask myself if their gospel is for the people,

Observe as they advertise the kingdom of heaven,

Telling about its richness and splendour,

Hiding away it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven,

We hear their clarion call from distance,

Begging men to give themselves to men in bed,

Encouraging women to live with a female husband,

Posing our girl child as a caricature,

They feed our hearts with a tale of heavenly reward,

Declaring the more we kill the better our chances of making paradise,

We see them with the mace of power,

Striking it on men who stand in their way,

Beating up their honour in the upper chamber,

Now we realise these are the men,

That hindered the protest of the people,

People clamouring for the removal of fuel subsidy,

Look as they breed juvenile delinquents,

Refusing to pay tutors for their deserved labour,

It is clear and real,

That we are in a world of prison,

Unknown future has placed us in the shackles of wandering,

Our new prophets enrich their bossom,

Leaving us to scamper for crumbs of bread,

But here we are!,

Standing on the ground we all are destined to sleep,

Mighty new prophets!,

Woe betide your gospel of doom,

No man takes the place of THE SUPERNATURAL!.
